Want to dive into biodiversity conservation while collaborating with international students? Here’s your chance! Our Human-Environment Systems Research Center has partnered with Lüneburg University on an innovative project called ProBioTIC (Promoting Biodiversity through Transdisciplinary Learning Interventions in the Carpathians).
Starting this spring semester, students from both universities will team up in small groups to tackle real-world challenges related to biodiversity and sustainable consumption in the Carpathian region. The course will be entirely in English, giving you a chance to enhance your language skills while making a difference in environmental conservation.
Your Chance to Make an Impact (and Win a Trip!)
The best part? The top-performing student project will win an all-expenses-paid trip to an exclusive summer school in Hungary! There, you’ll join other outstanding students from partner institutions to further develop your ideas and network with like-minded environmentalists.
The course runs from April to June 2025, and spots are limited to just 20 participants who will work in teams of four. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental protection while building international connections that could shape your future career.
The project is supported by the prestigious Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, ensuring high-quality educational experiences and meaningful outcomes for the Carpathian region’s biodiversity.
